Submarine whale
I modeled this low Poly Submarine so the rendering time would go faster. I added some fish fins to make it look like a whale submarine. The submarine is nice and simple, with was started with a basic rectangle that had subdivisions on it. There's lots of ways we can model a submarine, like using the CV Curve tool or NURBS Sphere but i wanted to keep it simple. I added an Ocean Shader in the Visor options, removed the fog that came with the ocean(for quick rendering purposes), played around with the render settings, batch rendered it and done.
Frogster
This character is called Frogster and it was quickly done in Maya. I'ts my first cartoon character design and i feel very accomplished by that. I just added a black and red lamber color to the body and a simple brown line coming across the face. In addition, this is also my first rigged character . As you can see its already in a pose, not the standard opened arm pose for character modeling. I has a simple rig using the Joint tool and made him as if he was running towards you. There is no spotlight added to you, its just two planes with a Phong shader on it.
Ball animation
This is a Ball animation done in class. It is animated using squash and stretch techniques to bring more life to the ball. The camera is also animated, slightly to keep track of the moving object.
Gun turret
A very basic Gun Turret done in Maya. I also made planes on this one to reflect off the spot lights. One at the bottom to act as the surface and the other is for the background/wall. I did a quick render view of it and the shadows came a little bit fuzzy since I didn't played around that much with the attributes. Overall, i was happy with the results of my Gun Turret.
